Ingredients

For the baked brie
  • 1 wheel brie cheese about 8 ounces
  • 1/3 cup raspberry or strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup pecans or walnuts chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional, for drizzling
For serving
  • 1 box crackers for serving
  • 1 small baguette sliced, or use crostini
  • 1 cup red grapes for serving
  • 1 cup strawberries or apple slices for serving

Equipment

  • 1 oven-safe baking dish small, or use a small baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper for easy cleanup
  • 1 serving plate optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a small oven-safe baking dish or baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the wheel of brie on the prepared dish, leaving the rind on.
  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the brie is soft in the center but still holding its shape.
  4. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving plate if desired.
  5. Spoon the jam over the hot brie.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, then add thyme leaves and a drizzle of honey if using.
  7. Serve immediately with crackers, sliced baguette, grapes, and strawberries or apple slices.

Notes

Check the brie at 12 minutes to avoid overbaking. Leave the rind on so the cheese holds its shape. Nutrition is an estimate and does not include all serving accompaniments.
